Job Title: Brand & Community Manager, Call of Duty – UK&I

Reporting To: Senior Brand Manager, Call of Duty

Department: BU Marketing

Contract Term: Permanent

Location: Currently Ditton Park Campus, Datchet, UK

Your Mission

The Brand and Community Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting the Senior Brand Manager in day to day marketing for the Call of Duty franchise in UK and Ireland. The role is directly responsible for owning and driving all franchise community management work within UK and Ireland.

This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties*:

Brand Management (50%)

  • Use consumer research to understand and define target audience. Use target as basis for local marketing strategy refinement and programming emphasis.
  • Support the Call of Duty franchise in the areas of catalogue management, digital, eSports, event planning and New Release programming as required throughout the year.
  • Help to develop, champion and deploy creative marketing plans that effectively and efficiently reach our consumer target audience.
  • Attend all local cross functional and BU meetings to understand regional strategy and support translation into a locally effective and well aligned plan.
  • Stay current with competitor launches, marketing programmes and sales performance in the marketplace.
  • Develop and implement brand learning plans/post-mortems that measure return on marketing investment and provide indicated actions to improve marketing effectiveness for future title releases.
  • Work with local retail and PR teams to ensure that franchise assets are being distributed and utilised effectively.
  • Coordinate internal eSport activities such as the Call of Duty World League.
  • Track and monitor local marketing budgets throughout the year.

Community Management (50%)

  • Take ownership of the Call of Duty community in UK and Ireland.
  • Partner with PR on influencer marketing and partnership opportunities for Call of Duty in UK and Ireland region by building new and managing existing relationships with influencers, YouTubers, livestreamers, pro players, community members and more.
  • Work with clans and fan sites to improve Activision’s relationship with its core community.
  • Identify influential members of the community and ensure they are well looked after.
  • Report regularly on community activity, feedback and concerns to local and EU brand and local teams (PR, Sales…).
  • Act as advocate for community members’ activities, suggestions and concerns.
  • Recommend activities, programs and methods to engage UK and Ireland Call of Duty community.
  • Work with brand and PR teams to find opportunities to grow active and engaged community members.
  • Work with Customer Support to identify potential issues and maximise local community satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and manage campaigns, giveaways, and promotions with content creators, ensuring proper follow-up reporting and analytics.

Player Profile

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with the Call of Duty franchise
  • Deep understanding of community behaviour, social media mechanics and web technology
  • Incredibly strong understanding of gaming content and communities on YouTube and Twitch
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a social media or community management role desired
  • Games industry experience (experience in a AAA publishing environment preferred
  • Very high standard of written and spoken communication
  • Confident presenter
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • A passion for games on all platforms
  • Thick skinned with a sense of humour

Please note we are currently based at Ditton Park but may be considering alternative locations for this role. This will be discussed at application stage.

Based in Ditton Park, our Campus houses a number of great amenities as well as transport links. The Parkland settings offer; tennis courts, an onsite gym, canteens and cafes etc. It is conveniently close to Junction 5 of the M4 giving a direct links to central London, the M25 and Heathrow airport.
