As the Senior Manager, Product Management for Customer Experience, you will have the opportunity to lead the product team that is responsible for all customer facing product initiatives. You will set business direction and your team will conceive, build, launch, and grow innovative products and services that appeal to gamers worldwide. Your products and services will span the life of the customer, from the first time user experience to long-term engagement, making sure our members get the most out of our expanding game offerings and the broader Amazon, leading to increased member retention. You will expertly balance the tactical near-term demands of our business with strategic long-term investments in Big Ideas, using backbone and strategic planning to opportunistically build toward the long-term while delivering results in the short term.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the long-term vision, strategy and roadmap to raise the bar for customer experience
  • Lead a team of world-class product managers, providing guidance, coaching and direction to achieve your product vision
  • Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership
  • Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve your objectives
  • Communicate performance, articulating root-cause analysis and linking to specific improvement areas

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • 4+ years of people management experience, with a track record of developing strong Product Managers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer-centric – you love to understand consumer behavior and their underlying motivations
  • Proven leader – you set business direction, prioritize well, communicate clearly, and influence cross functional teams across varying levels of the organization.
  • Track record of building and leading world class product teams and delivering compelling customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel - you rely on analytics and data to shape the decisions you make, and evaluate outcomes
  • Self-starter with a track record of success in delivering innovative products with a strong customer and quality focus
  • Track record of productive working relationships with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
  • Interest or experience in and knowledge of the video game industry or a subscriptions based business
  • MBA preferred
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
