Job Description Overview:

The Product Marketing Specialist evangelizes ASUS’ award-winning gaming products, defines product positioning and messaging, and formulates winning launch strategies by working closely with a cross-functional team. He/she coordinates the full range of outbound marketing activities to generate awareness and conversion. The Product Marketing Specialist has strong analytical and marketing skills, an understanding of the industry and the competitive landscape, and a proven track record of successful execution on launches and projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the formulation and the definition of the business group product marketing strategy for North America, including product launches, event support, sales activation, PR and social media.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge in MDF requirements, compliance and reporting
  • Develops, communicates and implements winning go to market plans for key gaming product launches in North America
  • Provides or contributes to creative briefs for advertising, press relations, direct marketing, and web campaigns
  • Responsible for agency RFPs, selection, and the overall management of resources to ensure marketing objectives are met
  • Manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Working knowledge of the local markets, opportunities in terms of positioning and launch strategies, and the competition
  • Collaborates with the channel marketing team to develop sales tools that support the sales cycle
  • Participates at tradeshows and industry events to assist in lead generation, communicates the value proposition of the products and use cases

Required Qualification:

Years of Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in related field or equivalent

Work Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • PC gaming, esports landscape as well as the ecosystem including teams, players and communities
  • Ability to think of the big picture, and has the attention to detail to execute tactics with goals in mind
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to define effective marketing tactics, strong negotiation and financial analysis skills
  • Knowledge of Business to Consumer, including process and key players
  • Passionate attitude for sales and marketing as an enabler for a company’s growth
  • Experienced in building partnerships that help deliver win-win results
  • Discipline of working with people; is structured in his/her approach to leading teams through complex cross-functional marketing process and resource management
  • Good understanding of PC technologies, able to deliver product messaging and value position verbally and written
  • A keen understanding of the creative aspect of marketing, well versed in digital and print creative process and able to communicate to the production team and influence the process
  • Capable at copywriting for technical products and asset creation from the ground up
  • Organized with strong prioritization skills
  • Creative and innovative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technology experience, particularly in PC hardware
  • PC gaming experience
  • Creative/advertising/media agency management experience

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment
  • Approximately 25% travel
