Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Hearthstone Masters Tour Qualifiers program. The ideal candidate has a passion for Hearthstone esports and has a strong history of managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders. The candidate should have experience working with global teams, an understanding of esports, organized play, and event management, and hold themselves to an unwavering quality bar.

  • Oversee and develop the competitive grassroots Hearthstone scene.
  • Collaborate with the Hearthstone development team to design and iterate esports programs.
  • Work with the Hearthstone esports team and external partners to execute hundreds of online qualifier tournaments.
  • Manage an external workforce of Hearthstone tournament administrators including scheduling, hiring, onboarding and performance evaluations.
  • Gather, analyze and report KPIs and community feedback on the Hearthstone Master Qualifiers program to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with teams across the company to execute plans, including the Hearthstone team, community, marketing, public relations, events, broadcast, IT, legal, web, and others.
  • Collaborate with the Hearthstone esports team to develop and iterate formats and systems that meet key game objectives, while also aligning with esports business priorities.
  • Work with regional teams and global partners to ensure uniform execution, including high quality events, player interaction, and messaging.
  • Communicate the program’s creative vision to internal stakeholders, from structure to branding.
  • Track and stay within the program budget, making crucial spending decisions where necessary.
  • Communicate product status reports, assessing risk, and new opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in esports or organized play programs management
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in partner or vendor management
  • Deep understanding of live event management and trading card game tournament operations
  • Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, management, and communications skills
  • Able to organize thoughts and make decisions under time constraints and a full work load
  • Experience managing a budget and working with international teams
  • Passionate player of video games, particularly Blizzard Entertainment games
  • Ability to travel, including international travel
