The Associate Media Archivist, Broadcast (Temp)will be hands on in the day to day ingest, tagging, organization, and delivery of all media assets for Blizzard’s Media Asset Management system. This role will assist in keeping organization and metadata workflows efficient. They will ensure Blizzard’s media assets are well organized and easily accessible. Our team collaborates with other Blizzard teams to ensure their assets are archived properly, and good communication maintained.

The ideal candidate would relish in the details with an affinity for Blizzard games and Esports. They would also have basic knowledge of the media workflows and the Broadcast industry. Media Asset Management is a new initiative within the company, and many of the organizational procedures and standards are being built from the ground up. We need someone prepared to roll up their sleeves and dive in.


  • Organize all media assets with proper metadata and taxonomy structures
  • Lead the charge with asset logging and tagging to increase internal transparency
  • Ensure all assets are easily searchable and retrievable by the greater Blizzard Enterprise
  • Master ingest and retrieval workflows and help formulate additional avenues for our system
  • Coordinate metadata structure with Blizzard employees, producers, editors, and external contractors
  • Assist in daily operation of Blizzard’s MAM
  • Assist in building workflows and policies for using the MAM
  • Train and assist users
  • Know where everything is… all the things!


  • Deep understanding of Blizzard Games and Esports to effectively catalog assets
  • Knowledgeable in basic media formats and broadcast workflows
  • Detail oriented by nature, with a deep understanding of metadata (tagging/logging) and taxonomy
  • Quality assurance is a key part of this position


  • Experience in Media Production (Broadcast, Sports, TV, Film, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Production workflows and how they interact (Live-Production & Post-Production)
  • Understand creative elements of production to mold our metadata structures accordingly
  • Experience with: Adobe Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of video editing and post-production


  • MAM, DAM, or other relevant experience in archive/cataloging system
  • Background in post-production or the digital media space
  • Experience with machine learning or AI automation
