Collegiate StarLeague (CSL) is the world’s largest collegiate esports league. It is a year-round competitive league for college/university students, including broadcasts of tournament matches, on-campus events, and a live championship.

Since 2009, CSL has awarded over $750,000 in scholarships to student gamers from around the world.

CSL currently has an opening for the position of Marketing Manager.

In this role, the Marketing Manager will plan and execute multi-channel integrated marketing solutions created to drive results against our business objectives. This role will focus on planning and executing marketing programs and campaigns in conjunction with the Business Development and Community teams to drive player/team registrations and improve community and partner satisfaction.

The Marketing Manager will be aligned against business priorities, revenue goals, and customer/partner satisfaction metrics.

To be considered for this position, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications. Proven experience running a marketing team and marketing campaigns with high competency in project and stakeholder management is a huge advantage.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leadership, management, and accountability of the Marketing team
  • Creating, planning and executing integrated campaign plans and recommendations
  • Managing and owning specific marketing channels like:
    • Direct/relationship marketing
    • Online/digital marketing/social media (advanced knowledge of all social platforms, content tactics and paid advertising required. Advanced knowledge of Reddit, YouTube, Twitch and Discord is also required)
    • Event and experiential marketing (Campus activations, Live Tournaments, Grand Finals, and more)
    • Other required marketing communication activities * Participating in the development of multiple marketing plans that detail specific program and campaign activities designed to achieve agreed upon business objectives.
    • Project management of programs and campaigns from inception to dynamic optimization. This can include:
      • Development, management, monitoring and optimizing campaigns across multiple channels
      • Status reporting, developing and monitoring work-back schedule and coordinating agency, external and internal teams to deliver program/campaigns * Review on-going program and/or campaign results and participating in analysis of performance and development of recommendations for optimization and future enhancements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of related experience working in a digital marketing role
  • Strong knowledge of the esports/gaming industries
  • Knowledge/experience creating marketing campaigns aimed to the collegiate demographic is a plus
  • Creativity is a must, as this role will help oversee our content creation team. Familiarity with esports content (tournament related and general esports imagery and video is a plus)
  • Ability to package results and reporting to show impact to business, as well as formulate recommendations for optimization and execute on them
  • Experience developing and delivering marketing plans to senior executive management
  • Strong project management skills and prior experience developing and managing marketing campaigns
  • Passion and enthusiasm for web and business analytics
