General Purpose:

  • Reports directly to the Payroll Manager
  • Responsible for performing under minimal supervision, general ledger and payroll duties such as payments of hours worked, personal time off, employee benefits, application of benefit deductions
  • Prepares and/or analyzes periodic payroll reports, payroll schedules, and payroll related and non-payroll journal entries and reconciliations using established policies, procedures, and guidelines on a timely manner
  • Responsible for coordinating with payroll service provider on issues affecting company payroll

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Owner of full-cycle US payroll for a multi-state company
  • Completes timely and accurate semi-monthly disbursement, including sales commissions, bonuses, pay/hours adjustments, garnishments, benefit deductions and taxes for employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Escalates to manager recurrent payroll discrepancies for reporting, root cause analysis and resolution
  • Ensure employee data generated through daily integration reports from Oracle HCM is accurately transferred to ADPWFN; coordinate and partner with HR to update the system for new employee data and updates, promotions, terminations; 401(k), additional earnings and benefits
  • Company payroll contact for all issues regarding US payroll; resolve all inquiries with excellent communications and customer services
  • Coordinates with payroll service provider on issues affecting company payroll
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of payroll experience knowledge of ADPWFN and Oracle
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships
  • Drive continuous improvement through identification and implementation of new value-adding process, application and reporting enhancements
  • Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity
  • One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team
  • Computer literate and very highly proficient in using MS office programs (Excel and Word)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving.
  • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll process
