What We’re Looking For

The Controller is a critical role that reports directly to the COO. As the leader of the Finance department its vital that the Controller be able to review and enforce internal controls on AP and AR to manage our cash flow . We need someone who can undertake all aspects of financial management and accounting, including regular analysis of our key financial indicators, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, ability to manage multiple deliverables at one time. The Controller will also be the main point of contact for several financial partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation and management of annual budget.
  • Cash flow, burn rate and budget vs/ actuals analysis
  • Semi-monthly deliverables include reviews with C-Level of P&L, cash, and projections.
  • Ongoing internal review of AP/AR, approval of all payments
  • Labor analysis for adjustments to overhead and COGS
  • Review and update pipeline projections
  • Margin analysis of completed projects.
  • Primary point of contact for bank and 401K
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, tax and employee classifications
  • Manages annual tax prep for Federal, State(3) and City(2)
  • GAAP compliance
  • Oversight and management of three Finance Staff

Required Skills:

  • Must have 10+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility in roles.
  • Ability to work adeptly in MS Office and GSuite
  • Expertise in Quickbooks platforms
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Experience managing staff
  • Able to create budgets, balance sheet schedules and summary financials
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solver
  • Ability to take on a variety of projects with competing deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter
  • Ability to take initiative, working independently and as part of a team
