PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize creative and traditional outreach to drive sponsorship revenue growth
  • Research and develop a list of potential sponsors, exhibitors for ESL’s portfolio of events and products
  • Maintain deep relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients and exhibitors
  • Maintain high level of service toward all clients and sponsors
  • Work with business development team to develop wholly integrated marketing solutions.
  • Assist in preparation of sales materials for ESL opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of and manage expectations surrounding event timelines and sponsorship deadlines
  • Ensure highest quality implementation of sponsorship programs
  • Manage sponsor delegation experience at ESL events
  • Manage sales pipeline through Salesforce
  • Manage contract process with sponsors
  • Evangelize esports and ESL to major brands and agencies
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Professionally represent ESL at all times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing (or similar field) or Sports Management from four-year college or university required. Performs other duties as required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years prior sponsorship sales experience, experience in a marketing position with a consumer brand, agency, media/sports property or similar account management position in a pro-sports team or league preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience in sports marketing and/or media sales preferred.
  • Consumer marketing and/or retail sales promotion experience required.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Experience at developing activation marketing plans, promotions, presentations and proposals.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven track record in sponsorship and media sales with strong focus on developing corporate partnerships.
  • Must possess established relationships in the corporate industry.
  • Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of marketing and media research.
  • 2-3 years experience in sports marketing and/or media sales preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive, high energetic approach and drive to sell.

ESL is seeking a pro-active, energetic sponsorship sales account executive to manage the entire sales process from incoming lead to close. Understand customer needs and requirements with regards to corporate partnerships, event & league sponsorships and digital brand. Present and articulate the value of branding in a premium esports environment. Ability to sell and differentiate in a competitive environment. Close sales and achieve sales quotas.
