Job Description

  • Site Performance
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the wikis are working efficiently
  • Organize and maintain an on-going list of site improvement requests from wiki managers
  • Determine and implement new ways of engaging site contributors through MediaWiki extensions, website activations, content checklist, etc
  • Ensure editing tools provide a seamless experience for the user and are customized based on the wiki

Personnel

  • Liaise with development contractors - ensure work is being performed correctly and provide regular updates to the team
  • Operate Esportspedia’s onboarding process
  • Recruit and Manage development interns

Reporting

  • Weekly google analytics reports for each wiki
  • Maintain google webmaster tools including SEO improvements
  • Run daily QA tests on each wiki to check for site issues
  • Manage the intern's workflow through Trello, ensure that tasks are being delegated and completed.
  • Create and manage a community feedback/support portal
  • Collect and follow through with wiki manager site improvement requests
  • Manage the onboarding process and ensuring all approved trainees are being inducted and trained by appropriate managers. This includes regular assessment of the overall process and ensures it's efficiency.
  • Monitor contributor access including onboarding and offboarding

  • Passionate about the esports industry
  • You stay up to date with the most recent design and technology trends and can adapt quickly as new standards emerge
  • Confident in receiving user feedback and knowing when to make changes based on it - you love talking to users and finding new ways to improve
  • Proficient at analyzing user behavior on-site and implementing changes based on this
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the esports industry
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Previous experience running a website
  • Flexibility to work weekends and nights as required

Payment

  • An incentive structure that is based on the success of each wiki.

Location

  • Either live in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles is preferred but not required. Remote candidates will be accepted.
