The Sales Director will be part of the Marketing & Sales team responsible for securing commercial opportunities across the business. The role will be accountable to strategically achieve sponsorship revenue within each Commercial Cycle for each of the CONMEBOL Tournaments.

Understanding of the ROI value, the business football sector from the region and Worldwide Basics, Capable to developed strong selling arguments and benchmark.

The individual must be a creative, solutions oriented, capable of building a solid sales pipeline and closing deals directly (including developing structure and pricing, negotiating terms, finalizing contracts, etc.).

The Sales Director will be based at Sao Paulo (BR), will report directly to the Head of Marketing & Sales, and will work closely with the rest of the sales team members.


Strong Sales Strategy skills:

  • Assist Head of Marketing and Sales with sales strategy development by cycle
  • Assist in development of commercial concepts for sponsorship and licensing to generate revenue
  • Leverage personal and professional network to access a variety of influencers and decision makers across the Region
  • Build a solid pipeline of potential partners, regional and international brands across all industries/sectors
  • Work on renewal of current partners for following cycle
  • Develop strong long-term relationships with regional /global sponsors and licensees ensuring maximum revenue
  • Create sales projections and oversee the work to ensure these projections are achieved
  • Work with the digital and media teams to develop new assets
  • Create solutions for strategic partners to maximise their global audiences and ROI
  • Creation of a sponsorship sales guidelines and help develop their after-sales process to ensure ROI for all parties
  • Provide a consultative sales approach ensuring trust and integrity are paramount factors in partnership development

Reporting and Business Intelligence:

  • Capability to develop a strong Commercial presentation/deck with relevant information, value arguments and benchmark
  • Organization of ROI values and Right Holders audience reports
  • Generate weekly and monthly commercial and financial reports
  • Lead and manage through regular performance monitoring, feedback to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Take appropriate performance correction actions as needed
  • Deliver market insights and accurate sales forecast in a regular reporting cycle
  • Responsible for coordinate with the team an accurate and timely CRM data inputs

Integrated Team Work:

  • Work with other stakeholders across business to ensure platforms offered are 360 and are aligned with Sales strategic objectives
  • Drive visibility of FCDIEZ MEDIA vision, capabilities and opportunities within key networks, industries and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively as part of FCDIEZ MEDIA Marketing & Sales Team to ensure alignment on value proposition and opportunities within the company


  • BA/BS degree in related sector.
  • Leadership – must be able to manage and lead individuals, internal team and client team
  • Must be able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
  • Must be commercially focused with a drive to exceed revenue targets and create new sales opportunities
  • Must understand and be familiar with the digital media and new content business
  • At least 3 years of experience in the sports/entertainment business, business development, media and/or online media environment
  • Significant experience of working with large global consumer brands and sponsors at a senior level
  • Strong understanding of how brands think and what assets will be most attractive to them
  • An excellent communicator and accomplished presenter
  • Native fluency in either Portuguese or Spanish ideally with a strong command/fluency of English
  • Regular travel is envisaged to meet clients and to matches
  • Understating of South American football market and its competitions, as well as connections with advertisers in the region
  • Experience of working in a large consultancy or for a major sports or media rights holder
  • Strong understanding and experience in negotiating complex, customized partnerships


  • Experience of supporting regional or international sporting events
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging environment, a proactive nature and strong relationship and team building skills.
  • Knowledge and up to date in new trends and business (i.e. gaming, eSports…)
