DeSoto's newest development, Geekletes, needs you! We will soon be opening our 15,000 sq.ft. eSports arena for daily operations and are cultivating our team that will help us create a gamer's haven!

The membrane of our daily operations is the Office Manager. This is a full-time hourly position from the hours of 8:30AM-4PM Monday-Friday. Some weekends may be necessary depending on events and staffing situations. This is a position where innovative-thinking, ambitious, dependable, organized, and detailed-oriented professionals will thrive.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing rooms for meetings and events
  • Proactively manage calendars and schedules, maximize efficiency by organizing, prioritizing and managing competing interests for time and attention
  • Setting and confirming meetings and reservations
  • Tracking customer admission and equipment/room usage
  • Setting crew schedules and hiring when needed
  • Process new hires
  • Managing crew hours and tasks
  • Maintaining a package log
  • Maintaining and refining internal processes that support ongoing operations
  • Managing supply inventory
  • Answering telephone in a courteous and professional manner - address questions, take messages and transfers calls appropriately
  • Manage general email correspondence
  • Prepare correspondence as required
  • Assist employees and customers with general questions and requests
  • Perform essential office duties
  • Ensure payroll is accurately prepared and reported on time
  • Operate a variety of computer and internet applications
  • Establish administrative and clerical processes that make Geekletes both an efficient and receptive environment for customers, staff, and members of the community
  • Perform administrative and office support, such as typing, spreadsheet creation, electronic communication, and maintenance of filing systems and databases
  • Complete special projects as necessary
  • Other tasks as assigned
