Summary

As a Publisher Account Manager, you will be owning the relationships with a large segment of GumGum’s existing and new publishers, and be the primary technical resource for GumGum’s Publisher Development team. You will need to be able to develop long-term mutually beneficial relationships with the partners, aiding the different stakeholders in achieving integrations that are fully optimized, and you will also work hand-in-hand with our business development leads to ensure a smooth and efficient technical on-boarding for new publishers on GumGum’s platform.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the technical onboarding of new publisher partners to the GumGum including technical integration and relationship management.
  • Be the main day-to-day contact for the lifecycle of the publisher relationship.
  • Work in tandem with GumGum’s Publisher Development team to maximize available inventory across GumGum’s suite of ad products.
  • Discover new opportunities for growth among existing publisher base.
  • Stay several steps ahead of publisher partners in regards to revenue management, optimizations, and expectations
  • Liaise with GumGum’s US-based Product and Engineering teams around product feedback and requirements.
  • Serve as client-facing focal point for technical questions in both pre- and post-sales scenarios.
  • Develop a deep understanding for GumGum’s business, value proposition, and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to engineering when needed. Assist in identifying FAQs.
  • Represent GumGum’s technical or engineering requirements to clients. Work on beta tests, communicate issues, etc.
  • Develop and improve technical fulfillment processes including project documents and QA.
  • Manage and implement new publisher products as they debut.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of monthly billing

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, ad operations, technical support or similar role
  • Understanding of the digital publishing and advertising landscape
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to confidently explain technical concepts to lay persons
  • Ability to manage client expectations along with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Native level verbal and written communication skills in Japanese, and advanced level verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working at a publisher or ad tech provider working in technical ad operations is strongly preferred
  • A high interest in publisher monetization ad products
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript a must and MySQL and Ad Servers preferred.
