The HyperX Marketing Manager oversees the branding and product marketing responsibilities for HyperX; to drive both internal and external stakeholders to promote the HyperX product and brand. Other duties may be assigned.


Strategic Marketing

  • Responsible for all elements of the HyperX campaign development and execution.
  • Define and manage APAC eSports and gaming strategy; including management of teams, leagues, tournaments and events as necessary.
  • Planning and management of HyperX product materials, including assets, emailers, landing pages, and other creative/new assets to maintain engagement with target audience.
  • Branding and messaging of all HyperX products and services for regional marketing execution.
  • Work with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure key assets are created as needed, on message and relevant to their needs.
  • Work with global strategic marketing and business managers (Global and APAC) to develop suitable product/brand messaging and strategy suited for the APAC market.

Gaming Community Management

  • To manage regional e-sports tournaments commitments.
  • E-Sports team management – to maximize marketing investment.
  • Tournament attendance and activities management.
  • New team/player scout and sign up.

Influencer Management

  • To scout, negotiate and sign up celebrity/influencers that matches the HyperX brand image in the region.
  • Manage day-to-day deliverables to maximize brand investment.

Alliance Partnership Management

  • Propose and manage partner co-marketing opportunities.
  • Actively seeking out new and managing existing relationships to further promote the HyperX brand.
  • Keep up with industry and gaming trends – ensuring our product and marketing propositions match current trends and technology developments.
  • Identifying key social media opportunities with Alliance partners and providing support for the social media team whilst at important events (when needed); to include live posts and both gathering and creating relevant content.
  • Provide company overview, product training and marketing strategy insights to the gaming teams, alliance partners and press agencies.

Budget Management

  • Be specifically accountable for the management of the APAC HyperX marketing budgets and also work with relevant APAC Marketing colleagues for activities or events that cross into other budget categories.
  • Advise and assist marketing colleagues as necessary for the allocation of relevant budgets to activities and events supporting your area of responsibility.

  • Language skills; Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT industry experience in a marketing focused role, with at least 3 years' experience in people management.
  • Solid marketing experience in communicating and target gaming audience.
  • Excellent technical understanding of PC architecture and associated technologies.
  • Experience of working with, and communicating to both internal and external stakeholders within a large organisation.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural, multi-national organisation.
  • Specialize in gaming, experience across 3-4 major PC games. Actively participate in e-Sports community and follow up on current news, teams and tournaments.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders using strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical subjects in layman's terms (making technical subjects more ‘accessible’ to all).
  • High degree of competence using standard PC productivity applications.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills.
  • High degree of self-discipline, self-motivated and results oriented.
