The Role:

Are you ready to join a new Gaming Audio Innovation team involved with creating innovative and exciting new audio products for a great gaming company? Logitech G & Astro Gaming are now looking for a Sr. Innovation Mechanical Engineer to join the team.

The responsibilities for Sr. Innovation Mechanical Engineer includes investigating and building new mechanical design and development of Wearable Audio Products (Gaming Headsets) and controllers. This role will be responsible for working closely with our Gaming Industrial Design, User Experience and Consumer Insights teams to come up with next level Gaming Audio experiences that apply to our entire portfolio of Gaming products. The ability to take a concept from paper to CAD and build a physical model(by hand if needed) to quickly test and reiterate is required.   • Research, design, analysis, and testing of complex mechanical parts and assemblies. Analyze critical areas of design with use of appropriate analysis tools.
  • Use a combination of hand building, hacking and rapid prototypes to build new prototypes.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the innovative concept smoothly transitions to the final design, meets quality and cost goals, and achieves specifications of reliability, manufacturability, and functionality.
  • Partner with Manufacturing teams/Suppliers to ensure our designs are optimized for mass production.
  • Resolve ME issues/challenges.
  • Partner and collaborate with other worldwide functions to achieve seamless product development.
  • Launch the development and qualification of plastic tooling, including design debug.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 6+ years experience in mechanical design/development of high volume consumer electronic products.
  • Good knowledge of plastic, tooling, injection molding, assembly process, cosmetic finishes, and defect analysis.
  • Good knowledge in metal punch tool structure and design.
  • Good Pro/E and AutoCAD skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good understanding in risk management.
  • Advanced Knowledge of quality tools such as DFMEA, DFMA, PSS and Tolerance analysis.
  • Advanced prototyping skills.
  • CAE is a plus.
  • Taking initiative in job.
  • Creative and self-motivated.
  • Good command of English writing and speaking, and ability to make file for presentations.

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Gaming Headset experience working with South/East China suppliers/vendors (ODM, CDM, CM models)
  • Softgoods experience.
  • Audio Headset Experience.
  • Biomechanics experience or experience designing and fitting things to the body is highly desired.


  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Manufacture, Material, Engineering (or similar).
