You will work within a multi-functional team to initiate, plan, organize and develop a software product for the Logitech Gaming Business (Logitech G) unit. You will help to define program schedules, drive the day-to-day execution across multiple functional teams, apply risk management as necessary and, and lead projects through to completion to ensure deadlines and requirements are met to deliver a software release on time with the expected functional and quality criteria. Software primary scope is to expand the user experience of Logitech Gaming Peripherals and build a community among its users. Thus, software releases will be synchronized with the launch of the Gaming peripherals

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with Portfolio / SW Product Owner / Design & Engineering to develop project scope and to define early project plans that comply with the vision, the strategy and the goals of the BG (Business Group).
  • Take the ownership and oversight of SW Gaming projects
  • Lead the definition of project scope and objectives involving all relevant partners and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Track program schedules, technical issues, and negotiate priorities against project plans to ensure key internal and external deliverables are met
  • Lead in-depth planning and execution tracking of funded projects in coordination with Gaming peripherals program managers
  • Resolve risks, develop mitigation strategies and communicate impacts
  • Identify with business counterparts innovation pillars, ingredients and technologies required to fulfil development of future roadmap - supervise the agreed plan.
  • Provide effective communication regarding status, issues, objectives, dependencies, risks and plans to management and product development teams
  • Support and drive continuous improvement to an established product development process
  • Be Scrum Master for the team, be able to help the team to achieve sprint goals, remove obstacles and guide team to follow best scrum practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS with 5+ years as a SW product development program manager
  • Prior experience directly managing complex technical projects working with software engineering and quality assurance teams
  • Familiar with Software Product Life Cycle and different software development methodologies
  • Experience leading numerous parallel software development projects with key intercepts across multiple silicon development programs and driving priorities and trade-off decisions in coordination with the appropriate parties
  • A strong software development background, with experience in development and product delivery for one or more of the following environments: Windows, MAC OSx, Android, Linux,, drivers, GUI/applications, or software tools for mobile platforms
  • Experience leading geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
  • Leadership skills along with excellent communication, organizational and people skills and able to work across functional groups
  • Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for software development, test execution, bugs, issues, risks, and other aspects of project and program management
  • Outgoing, highly organized, persistent and tenacious, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, agile framework and bug tracking applications

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

  • Knowledge of project management methodology. PMP, APM, Prince2
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.). SCRUM, Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification
  • Experience with software product development cycles (concept to production).
  • Experience on projects that mixes SW and HW deliverables
