Nicecactus is an already international company based in Biot, France. We empower novice, amateur and semi-pro gamers to engage competitively and equip them with tools to train, compete, improve and get scouted by organizations and coaches in a structured and supportive environment.

We are in search of an experienced community manager specialized in esports for our different social media, including our english Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Discord and our blog. In this position, you will be fully responsible for the management of our community and for managing conversations on all our community channels. You will be responsible for monitoring the community channels to communicate and to engage, excite, and troubleshoot, with the goal to drive traffic, engagement, brand loyalty and influence our users to become nicecactus ambassadors. Collaborating closely with our different offices based in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin and Los Angeles, you’ll need to maintain well-organized public communications and player engagement by leading community projects.

Your profile

A committed gamer who wants to works for a company that is growing fast and has a real project of becoming one of the main esports company in the world in the next few years. You already have some experience in social media and ideally you’ll have worked on international accounts. You have magical writing skills, and love engaging with people in the community. Knowing English in fundamental and other languages is a plus.

You are particularly active on Twitter yourself, follow all the relevant websites and accounts about esports, and love the idea of addressing hardcore gamers with ideas that you know will kick a**.

Your missions

  • Communicate/work with marketing & communication teams within nicecactus to develop, update and execute community engagement activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and manage community platforms
  • Create and publish content on our official communication platforms with high level of quality and timeliness
  • Manage and analyze performance/progression of our official communication platforms
  • Monitor and drive conversation on all Social Media
  • Plan and execute community projects, including online/offline events, promotions and marketing campaigns to excite nicecactus users
  • Develop innovative plans, programs and strategies to increase the reach of communication and community engagement
  • Collaborate with partners (esports orgs, influencers and other relevant parties) to promote our communication efforts
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback based on monitoring, analyzing communication and community channels
  • Deliver regular community updates regarding the platform and its new features
  • Other community related responsibilities, as assigned


  • Relevant experience and understanding well the esports environment
  • Experience in building online/offline communities
  • Being a passionate gamer and having a strong understanding/experience in several games
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends and game/entertainment community
  • Good writing skills and practical experience in writing/editing of articles/posts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with external partners
  • Good analytical and reporting skills, being detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated and having the ability to develop new initiatives as well as managing multiple tasks with limited supervision
  • Able to travel as required both globally and domestically
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with English language


  • Love playing esports games
  • Previous experience in videogame/entertainment/esports industry
  • Video/Image content design/editing skills
  • Knowledge of support/development tools (Confluence, Jira etc)
  • Since our main office is based in France, speaking French is a strong asset.
