New York Institute of Technology seeks an Intramural, Club Sports and Recreation Supervisor for the Long Island and New York City NYIT campuses. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Recreation Supervisor will oversee the organization and administration of a comprehensive Club Sports, Intramural, and Recreation program on both campuses.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage all athletics budgets for club sports, intramural and recreation programs.
  • Select and purchase all equipment necessary for club sports, intramural and recreation programs.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the student fitness center.
  • Plan and run intramural programs in sports such as soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball and other offerings as dictated by need.
  • Manage the varsity club sports programs including eSports and Ultimate Frisbee and help to grow the varsity club sport programs.
  • Attend staff meetings as needed.
  • Create a student staff for all recreation facilities.
  • Compile reports on recreation as needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree required or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in recreation management at the collegiate level
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of recreational sports officiating and programming.
  • Strong human relations skills needed.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Must be available during weekend and nights for club sports, intramural and athletic events.
  • Valid driver's license.
