Press X is a brand partnership agency at the cross-section of gaming and pop culture that helps brands and advertisers join the massively growing influencer marketing landscape. We provide full-service campaign management and expert consulting for all sponsorship and marketing needs in the digital and gaming space.

In mid-2018, United Talent Agency (UTA) acquired Press X and Everyday Influencers to form the UTA Esports division, headed by Press X Co-Founder Damon Lau. Press X remains a separate business entity, though now has access to UTA’s wide range of talent and resources.

THE OPPORTUNITY: PROJECT MANAGER

Press X is an innovative team working to change the face of social gaming and traditional entertainment. We’re seeking a creative sales professional to join us as Project Manager and help brand leaders in the gaming and entertainment space find the right talent, platform, and moment for creative influencer marketing programs. Since esports and social gaming are emerging markets, the right individual will possess creativity, leadership, and an entrepreneurial attitude. At Press X, we seek ambitious, accountable, and collaborative team players.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Help leadership groom and develop Account Coordinators to best guide and consult clients on achieving the greatest results based on client objectives
  • Manage existing relationships with agency and client partners
  • Manage and help grow a team of Account Coordinators
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of brand partners’ business challenges
  • Schedule face-to-face high-level business meetings and entertainment outings with clients
  • Serve as a resource for existing partners, bringing them solutions that solve their business challenges
  • Oversee the proposal process to ensure highly relevant solutions are presented to our partners
  • Stay up to date on relevant trends and news across the marketing, media, and esports/gaming landscapes
  • Manage multiple opportunities, campaigns, and relationships at a time
  • Accurately track and forecast sales activity and revenue
  • Retain impeccable knowledge of Press X, its products and services, and upcoming initiatives
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams across sales, talent, content, and marketing to ensure successful execution of campaigns from start to finish
  • Collect and share real-time marketplace feedback with internal teams to continuously hone our client services
  • Create and disseminate client wrap reports
  • Review and disseminate talent contracts

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Education: BA/BS degree
  • Experience: 4+ years in digital advertising sales with a proven record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience selling branded/custom content solutions
  • Thorough and complete understanding of all social media and emerging platforms, especially live platforms such as Twitch
  • Strong client service skills, including empathy and understanding of underlying motivations
  • Ability to multi-task and remain accountable to deadlines without exceptions; Creative problem-solving skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong sense of urgency but calmness in completing tasks
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work effectively within a fast-moving startup environment
  • Strong advertiser and agency relationships within your territories and verticals
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong interest and knowledge of esports and gaming space preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Google Docs, Slack, Asana, and Salesforce
