Headquartered in Korea, PUBG Corp. has seven operational offices globally across North America, Europe, Japan, China, and South East Asia.

The Santa Monica office is seeking a full-time Lead Community Manager who will oversee player communication, player engagement, and advocacy. This person will be a key player in the Community Team, taking charge of community projects and communication efforts.


  • Lead a team of community managers and be responsible for player retention and player community development
  • Establish the community advocacy and engagement process and actively communicate with development to increase player retention
  • Develop and manage communication strategy/community platforms for players and player communities
  • Communicate and collaborate with community leads, development teams, and publishing teams in the PUBG Santa Monica, Seoul, and Amsterdam offices in order to develop and execute communication plans that align with PUBG’s global strategy
  • Manage and analyze performance/progression of official communication platforms
  • Create and manage community publishing (communication and content on owned media and social media) with a high level of quality and timeliness
  • Provide editorial guidance and coaching to other community team members
  • Develop innovative plans, programs, and strategies to increase the reach of communication and community engagement, and facilitate community activities
  • Generate meaningful/constructive reports on community sentiment and reactions and provide feedback to the community through collaboration with development teams and other publishing teams
  • Develop service operation policies for players and partners about the use of game service and community activities of PUBG
  • Plan and execute community projects, including online/offline events/promotions
  • Collaborate with partners (fan-sites, influencers, and other relevant parties) to promote our communication efforts
  • Analyze and report the impact/result of communication and community promotion
  • Build strong relationships within the team - the relevant teams in the Santa Monica office and in other PUBG regional offices - and across the industry
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned


  • Enthusiastic PUBG player
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in video game community management, esports industry, or other relevant entertainment or PR fields
  • A passionate gamer who has a strong understanding of and experience in shooters and esports
  • Strong understanding of current game/entertainment community and social media trends
  • Exceptional writing skills and practical experience in writing/editing of articles/posts
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners
  • Good analytical and reporting skills, being detail-oriented
  • Great project management skills and expertise to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Self-motivated and able to develop new initiatives as well as manage multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Able to travel as required both globally and domestically
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Office services


  • Fluency in Korean
  • Previous experience in online/viral/digital marketing or content related business
  • Knowledge of and/or network with current game community/influencers
  • Video/Image content design/editing skills
