Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As Project Management Coordinator, you'll shepherd creative assets for the League of Legends Championship Series as well as assist with projects, when needed, for publishing efforts within North America. You will be responsible for the production of content, merch, promotional campaigns and other mixed media from conception to delivery to support efforts in increasing viewership, growth and acquisition in our Los Angeles office. You'll not only raise the quality bar of the content we create but also facilitate smooth, on-time, and on-budget projects. You're an accomplished producer who has the names of vendors, freelancers, current rates, and best practices all at hand as well as a good eye for detail and design. You'll own your project life-cycles including the strategy, development, communication, bidding, logistics, and delivery of assets. We're looking for someone to find creative ways to influence and execute the vision of LCS projects by tapping into their wide range of experience across various mediums.

You are:

  • An Esports Devotee: you passionately follow professional League of Legends and stay informed with other Esports titles. You are a subject matter expert with a finger on the pulse of the LoL Esports community to help us make decisions that will deliver S tier content to our players
  • Action oriented: you take the bull by the horns and ride the damn thing through the heart of a dragon; you turn challenges into opportunities, even without extensive planning because "too hard" means nothing to a dragon slayer
  • Cool-headed: you thrive in high-stress situations by embracing the unexpected, staying calm under pressure, and thinking clearly when details are hazy; as the team's ballast, you maintain stability in crisis-mode, keeping everyone positive when others might become defensive or frustrated
  • Approachable: you listen to others and are sensitive to any communication style, and that makes it easy for anyone to talk to you; others trust you and feel comfortable coming to you with all the info, so any rising problems can be tackled before they spiral into fiery vortices of bad vibrations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: when changes are made, you keep a cool head and fight on, even if you don't have all the details; you're comfortable moving between projects and facing the uncertain because risk and change motivates you to evolve and innovate
  • A master mediator: you find opportunity in conflict, and can instantly gauge the temp in a room or cut through distractions to the crux of a problem; you meet debates and disputes head on, listen with focus and discernment, create compromises for tough disagreements, and find faster ways to common ground even when the ETA seems a long way off
  • Priority-focused: you quickly identify critical projects, separating essential tasks from dreaded time-sucks; you can spot and avoid roadblocks miles ahead, which keeps you on track and more focused than a very determined laser beam

You will:

  • Manage the bandwidth and production pipeline of the LCS Creative Services team
  • Establish workflows and best practices with various customer teams within LCS and North America Publishing
  • Help aforementioned teams schedule projects by recognizing potential bottlenecks in the production pipeline
  • Create estimates, define SOWs, and own contract creation when third party vendor help is required
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to vendor review, selection, and negotiation when necessary
  • Ensure vendor deliveries are reviewed and own the collection of feedback in a timely manner
  • Follow through at every step; a great producer knows that their work is never done until the asset is tracked and routed to final delivery
  • Collaborate well with a wide range of skilled, talented, and passionate people
  • Play games because that's what Riot is all about
