The Product Marketing Manager (Several openings will be selected to manage 1-2 sports each) will help scale our traffic for sport-specific content across all platforms (mobile, web, and more.)

We need a strategic thinker who is experienced, resourceful and knowledgeable about digital advertising, social media, e-mail marketing, online sports forums/chats and all things digital regarding the sport(s) they will manage.

The two primary roles of the PMM is to build traffic/audience and to make sure all content and promotional communication for their sports(s) is on brand.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where they will interface daily with content, design, marketing, PR & social, data engineering & analytics, platforms, planning & analysis, and more.

This role involves both product and project management, so we require operational excellence and technical fluency. We also expect to hire someone who is a “roll up the sleeves and do it” kind of person. Building great relationships with internal and external stakeholders is also key.

Responsibilities of the Product Marketing Manager may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the content team and other SportsEdTV teams to make sure our videos meet the wants and needs of our global audience.
  • Working directly with the Sport Content Managers to prioritize which content should be made based on market demand or promotional opportunities.
  • Developing video product requirements and specs based on internal needs and external market opportunities; explore ideas with engineers and designers
  • Becoming a major contributor to the video team’s user research activities and a strong advocate for user interviews, testing, and analyzing results.
  • Leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to inform the team’s product strategy.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to communicate product strategy, app release progress and launch communications.
  • Researching emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities for our products.
  • Researching and reporting on competitive products in the video instruction distribution space, including other LIVE and/or VOD services
  • Conducting competitive analysis of similar and potentially disruptive digital product offerings of other media companies and startups.
  • Staying current with Film, Television, Internet, Mobile, Connected TV, and digital trends to help inform areas of product development.
  • Staying current on the sport(s) managed (all social channels, all internet activities, all results of professional and amateur game, knowing who the hot teachers and coaches are, industry networking)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience in brand and digital marketing
  • 3+ years of product management and development experience of designing, developing, and deploying digital products
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Experience working in the digital video products or video distribution space
  • Excellent relationship management along with budget management, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Competent soft skills necessary to work across cross-functional teams
  • Accustomed to driving results in collaborative, cross-functional environments with little instruction or oversight.
  • Effective communicator (both written and oral) comfortable speaking in front of diverse audiences.
  • Strong business understanding of the ever-evolving media industry
  • Experience with user/customer research, customer interviews and/or usability testing.
  • Experience with the product discovery process and collaborating with users and project teams to test and iterate a concept.
  • Experience with establishing and analyzing KPI’s/metrics, and being able to make recommendations based on data.
  • Ideal candidate is resourceful, self-starting, has a strong work ethic.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced real-time environment with rapid changes in focus.
  • Technical competency strongly desired.
  • Must be willing to work in Miami, FL
  • A passion for sports and a personal life experience in sports is preferred (tennis, golf, weightlifting, esports, soccer, basketball)
