The Sport Content Manager (positions open in tennis, golf, weightlifting, esports, soccer and basketball) plays a supporting, but critical, role in development of content for our global sports instruction library, working closely with our Executive Sport Directors (notable world-class coaches who develop the curricula outlines and coaching protocols for SportsEdTV’s video instruction library and blogs).

The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, deadline and data driven environment where they will interface with world-class coaches, product marketing, PR & social, planning & analysis, and more. This role involves project management, planning and networking.

Responsibilities of the Sport Content Manager may include, but are not limited to:

  • PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY: BEST CONTENT IN THE WORLD ! (Quality, expertise, drills, gender, age, etc.)
  • Developing (taking the lead from our audience data and the Executive Sport Director) the best video instruction content on the internet. This management position determines, details and facilitates the day-to-day video and blog content creation for our network.
  • Using data to identify anticipated trends and demand of new instruction topics.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive, on-going daily content development plan for the sport.
  • Working closely with the Product Marketing Manager and Director of Video Content & Production to produce the appropriate content (video and other).
  • Preparing detailed instruction plans (including topics, instruction sequencing, talent, dates, etc.) and pre-production storyboards.
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with coaching talent and filming venues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 10-year experience in the sport (playing or coaching on at least the collegiate or elite amateur level).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.
  • Excellent relationship management along with budget management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Competent soft skills necessary to work across cross- functional teams.
  • Accustomed to driving results in collaborative, cross-functional environments with little instruction or oversight.
  • Effective communicator (both written and oral) comfortable speaking in front of diverse audiences.
  • Strong current knowledge of the coaching methodologies in the sport, as well as the major coaches around the world.
  • Ideal candidate is resourceful, self-starting, has a strong work ethic.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced real-time environment with rapid changes in focus.
  • Technical competency and computer literacy.
  • Previous content production or creation background a plus.
  • Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.
  • A passion for the sport and a personal life experience in the sport required.
