Position Overview

In the Director of Sales role, you will drive net new business at scale for Super League. You will effectively grow relationships at all levels, coordinate internal and external stakeholders during the life cycle of the deal, and be a Super League ambassador and evangelist in the market. The right individual will have extensive experience selling complex enterprise level deals while bringing thought leadership to our company.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building and maintaining revenue, and when possible exceeding goals through creative and strategic selling.
  • Focus on initiating and developing relationships with senior client contacts.
  • Work with potential clients to determine their business needs and formulate comprehensive sales solutions.
  • Develop sales plan based on business and functional diagnosis during sales cycle that results in successful closing of long-term deals.
  • Ability to develop cross platform strategic solutions across Super League’s properties including events, content, and audience network.
  • Ability to learn new systems and platforms quickly to keep up with evolving esports and gaming landscape.
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Creative, Content and Event Operations.
  • Track and manage revenue pipeline to inform and exceed quarterly business goals.
  • Ability to prospect for new business and accounts
  • Prepare regular monthly, quarterly and yearly sales reports
  • Use rigorous ROI based metrics to gain agreement on pricing models
  • Ensure partnerships team has all product, marketplace and competitive media information to maximize on new and existing partnerships
  • Strong presentation and written/oral communication skills.

Requirements

  • Preferably more than 8+ years sales experience with proven track record of closing complex, long-term deals
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Demonstrable ability to take ownership and accountability and act on client goals and objectives

  • Experience with digital advertising and sponsorship sales a plus
