As Twitch’s Chief Marketing Officer, you are a visionary, high-energy marketing professional that can balance strategic thinking with overseeing flawless execution. You have the ability to bring strategy, inspiration, innovation, campaign expertise, and thought leadership together to shape how the world–including our creators, viewers, developers, advertisers, and the media–experience the Twitch product and brand. You’ll operate as the voice of these five audiences and think strategically and conceptually about campaigns and programs to help them succeed. You are an inspirational people leader and are excited to grow a team of marketing professionals globally.

The successful candidate will have deep experience building and expanding brands, driving growth, and the creative ability to deliver new and Twitch community-derived ideas into actionable and effective marketing strategies. You will love working closely with product teams & content teams and will be a key member of Twitch’s executive leadership. You are a seasoned marketing professional who works collaboratively with all levels and backgrounds and has significant experience creating, influencing, and developing brand storytelling and integrated marketing campaigns, and performance-based lifecycle and acquisition/retention marketing campaigns–and seeing them succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning, messaging, branding, segmentation, strategy, and creative direction focused on continuing Twitch’s evolution in the ‘multiplayer entertainment’ space
  • Set clear goals for delivering growth in brand metrics and on-Twitch engagement
  • Develop strong audience-focused marketing priorities that builds the foundation for brand, content, product, and growth marketing campaigns
  • Deepen audience insights through developing significant quantitative and qualitative understanding of brand and market trends including awareness, perception, and engagement by audience targets
  • Provide inspirational leadership to marketing teams in a hands-on/executional way; ability to dig into the details and set a high quality bar for all inputs and outputs
  • Create capabilities that bring the brand to life in greater dimension through targeted, measurable experience-based events & activations and integrations with other Amazon digital properties
  • Act as a recognized and active expert in marketing, brand and voice of the customer for the company by continually educating and sharing work and knowledge as well as blazing a trail of creativity and innovation
  • Promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking, innovation, rational risk-taking and tradeoffs
  • Lead & scale the team with vision, empathy and humor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of marketing leadership experience with a track record of proven success as a brand executive
  • Strong, proven leadership skills and highly developed interpersonal skills to lead and manage a diverse and global team of 80+ marketing and creative professionals
  • Demonstrated experience growing a company in a competitive and evolving market; has a growth mindset and draws energy from change as opportunity
  • Deep experience in brand building - both strategically and creatively; phenomenal brand development to delight customers
  • Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast paced environment. Interacts well with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to marry insights & data with storytelling, narrative development, and messaging
  • Experience building and scaling teams, budgets, tools, and programs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, start up environments
  • Detail oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once
  • Inspirational public speaker
