About the Position

As part of the Growth & Media Team, the Director of Marketing Technology will be key in defining and building a function critical to our marketing plans.

Responsibilities include managing the entire marketing technology stack, from interpreting needs of the business through implementation into support. This role requires understanding of Marketing Technology platforms, acting as the expert between business leads, internal engineering, and vendors. This is a highly collaborative leadership role for someone who wants to shape strategy and build a world-class MarTech stack. This person must be comfortable working in a very fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on our marketing technology roadmap: supporting paid media, lifecycle, and other marketing channels.
  • Build and support our marketing stack: tracking, measurement, attribution, optimization and automation across all platforms.
  • Research and evaluate growth opportunities, onboard new vendors, test new marketing channels and tools.
  • Work cross-functionally between marketing, engineering, product, data science, finance, legal and security teams.
  • Work with external vendors to maintain and develop our technology integrations, facilitate beta-testing of new products and features.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing and strong interest in how it works “under the hood”
  • “Backend” experience (scripts, APIs) is a strong plus
  • Understanding of web and app technology: cookies, SDKs, tracking, tagging
  • Experience with mobile apps (user acquisition, re-engagement) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to answer questions with SQL
  • Experience with DMP’s, MTA, and CDP’s
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing cloud.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working with external agencies is a plus.
