To support our growth, we are looking for a talented, driven, proven and highly analytical Director (or Senior) Business Development Manager of Channel Partnerships with proven experience leading Channel Partnership engagements. This role goes beyond simple relationship management, to one that will drive impactful partnerships with Twitch’s new channel partners including OEMs, OTT devices, Telecommunication Companies, and other Digital Service providers.
We are looking for a team player with proven experience in this field with the ability to manage complex relationships and nurturing them to success through win-win deals. This team member is expected to help set the standard for best-in-class partner management and will partner with the world's largest and most influential companies to drive big initiatives, build strong relationships, and drive growth. The role includes the unique opportunity to build a new practice at Twitch and a team over time at one of the most innovative tech companies in the world. An ideal candidate is forward-thinking, strategic, and able to effectively negotiate terms that benefit Twitch communities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, source, and execute high impact channel partnership agreements with OEMs, Telecommunication companies and other digital services that are repeatable and scalable--this includes leveraging relevant data points to make informed decisions and the ability to convince key internal & external stakeholders; from negotiations through execution to ensure successful long term partnerships
  • Establish strong relationships with key channel partners, including working backwards from both companies’ goals including understanding the business needs, visions, and strategy of our new partners and the business units you will represent
  • Define vision & mission for the team inclusive of prioritizing efforts, contributing to strategy, and proactively addressing gaps.
  • Ability to hire, develop talent, and build a successful team of business development professionals
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while actively leading external and internal engagement (e.g. financial modeling, legal engagements, co-marketing, and appropriate stakeholder reporting) over a variety of business categories including commerce, digital media, mobile, advertising, and web services from inception to go-to-market
  • Articulate sophisticated product vision and strategies to both internal and external partners by providing relevant insights to internal teams based on customer feedback and data analysis

Requirements

  • 10+ years of channel partnership experience in business development and/or corp development experience at a technology or media company
  • A proven track record in leading transformational and ambitious BD initiatives in a channel partner facing role with a demonstrated ability to maintain strong cross-functional relationships and a customer focus
  • Prior legal, finance, banking, gaming, or consulting experience servicing gaming and/or media clients
  • Strong knowledge of Twitch and our partner’s ecosystems
  • Passion and knowledge for gaming, content, and media
  • Existing professional relationships with OEMs, Telcos, mobile platforms, or media companies
  • Experience with business modeling for games and/or media
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Travel for conferences, trade shows, events, and partner meetings

  • You have led multiple channel partnership agreements in your previous role and have strong recommendations on how Twitch can accelerate partnerships in this space
