The Central Science team at Twitch is central to evidence‐driven decision‐making. We are a cross-functional team of researchers with a variety of expertise in marketing research, analytics, and user experience research.

We help teams across Twitch understand our customers - their mindset, perceptions, needs, and habits. We partner with leaders across marketing, content, product, and strategy to inform Twitch’s customer strategy, build a culture of deep customer empathy, and measure the impact of these strategies in the world. You would be responsible for conducting research to inspire Twitch’s go-to-market strategy across both viewers and streamers and measuring the impact of these programs. You will grow Twitch’s survey capabilities and brand tracking capabilities in the US and International priority markets and expand our understanding of key customer groups.

Responsibilities

  • Define and scale Twitch’s quantitative research and survey capabilities, programs, and insights. Be a resident quantitative research expert designing and executing new research studies, establishing best practices, and advising other researchers on methodology
  • Identify and work backwards from key business and audience questions to design, manage, and deliver quantitative research projects
  • Partner with stakeholders across Twitch to evolve on-going survey programs to identify new customer, business, and category insights. This includes managing brand trackers in the US and International priority markets across various customer groups
  • Develop and execute brand, marketing, and campaign measurement plans that allows Twitch to optimize customer communications and campaigns over time.
  • Manage third-party research vendors and conduct primary research using Twitch internal tools
  • Work closely with your colleagues in user research, marketing analytics, and data science to deliver cross-functional insights and research

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a market or quantitative researcher with experience designing and delivering research across a variety of quantitative methodologies
  • Expert at survey sampling, questionnaire design, and applied statistics for survey analysis
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages (R, Stata, SPSS, etc)
  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing third-party research vendors, scoping research projects, managing timelines, and conducting hands-on research
  • Persuasive communicator that can bring insights to life to drive decision making and build customer empathy

Bonus Points

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Social Science, Statistics, or Psychology preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting brand, marketing, or advertising research
  • Experience with international research is a plus
