College League of Legends Analyst Trainee

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Collect data from varsity team scrimmages, matches, and other important events.
  • Format the collected data into presentable, concise documents for the Head Analyst and Coach to refer to for their work.
  • Provide feedback to the varsity players by request for individual VOD review and additional feedback to their performance in case the Head Analyst and the Coach are occupied with higher priority tasks.
  • Participate in in-house staff meetings with player staff and faculty to provide additional insight into the direction of the program.
  • Scout for information on opposing teams in tournaments such as CLoL and PAC-E and participate in strategic planning of the matches.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of League of Legends with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to compile and organize data in a concise, efficient manner. Additional bonus if having prior experience with applications such as Excel, Word, and Spreadsheets.
  • Ability to create quantitative data out of scrimmages and matches for the Head Analyst and Coach to apply in practice.
  • Openness to experience potentially new responsibilities such as scouting, player-support, and leadership roles.
  • Willingness to put 16-20 hours per week dedicated to working for the USC varsity team.
  • Strong communication skills when working together in a competitive, professional environment.
